The Gardener's Almanac
We might call him a Salt of the Earth type of guy. He’s even named
for developing land; to cultivate and reap the harvest. For crops to be
successful, and make it another season, we must rotate our locations. Ecology is
cyclical, ironically, we cannot yield progressively in the same spot.
Finding balance through the growing process is difficult. Weathering the
elements and being resourceful to supplement the many disadvantages of life
both inside and out. From the time a seed is planted, nurturing with
unconditional effort. There’s an adorable imperfection to our equation.
A scientific lottery going on all around us. We change our recipe as we ration
supplies. Careful to maintain a healthy culture, forecasts can deceive, and we
must accommodate the most extreme circumstances.
Changing landscapes is a paradox. New fields to improve our chances… Like transitioning
greens on a golf course, holes are intentionally relocated to keep it
interesting. Alternating patterns enhance our skillsets and improve our odds. Setting
us up for success against all odds.
Thick skin is evolved through life’s robust adventures. No matter what shade; Nor how sensitive to sunlight; We persevere through change, welcome the challenge, and endure the heat. Where even the slightest breeze is a big wind for us.
Shifting a common phrase, “we are better for having grown here… “
Breaking ground with a plow hardly describes the kind of penetration he has made. The root system from our Giving Tree runs deep and vast. Though it sounds rudimentary, this kind of wisdom can take you anywhere.
Places we’ve never been before. Setting our sights on something new, but there’s still a need to farm those lands. Fresh ground tilled with joyful thought in Seminole moments of yesteryear. Through shades of Gray we’ll reminisce and build on his legacy, as he rotates position, planting anew.
